Methodology and sources
How we write, check and date what we publish.
One idea per post
Each post teaches one idea, gives a worked example in PKR and lists common mistakes. Example figures are marked "Illustrative figures, not a target for you".
Sources and dates
Facts that can be checked come from official or primary sources, such as the State Bank of Pakistan, the Federal Board of Revenue, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, the Pakistan Stock Exchange, NCCPL, MUFAP and CDC. Every post shows when it was last reviewed and, where it uses figures, the date they are as of.
Rates and rules change
A post that has not been reviewed for 12 months shows a banner that says so. When a fact changes, the post is saved as a new version with a short note about what changed. The earlier version stays at its own address, marked as archived and kept out of search results.
Checked before publishing
Every post is checked by software against a written list of rules before it can go live: no advice wording, no invented figures, no claims we cannot back up. Then the person who runs the site reads it and approves it. Nothing is published by an automatic process alone.
Scripted figures
Figures that are invented for teaching, for example in a scenario, carry the label "Scripted scenario data". Figures that are real show their source and an "As of" date.
What we do not claim
We make no claim of certification, accreditation or official status. We do not predict prices or returns. Past movements do not predict future results.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, tell us on the contact page. We fix errors quickly and, where a fact has changed, publish a new version.
Stand-in text
This page is stand-in text, written before legal review. The final wording will replace it before launch.
